A Bit of Inspiration

It’s natural for artists to get in a rut searching for inspiration. If you feel this way about your photography, perhaps it’s time to look at things a new way.  It doesn’t need to be complicated—in fact, sometimes the answer is right in front of you.  For me, a bit of inspiration was not only right in front of me, but shared my apartment as well.  My roommate happened to be very fashion-forward and when I asked if she was interested in being my model, she jumped at the opportunity!  We set out taking photographs wherever we found a location that caught our eye.  That day I took a few of my favorite portraits!

There are many ways you can get out of rut—change your typical scenery, experiment with various gear (break out that old lens you haven’t used in a while!), explore new themes, or shoot at a different time of day.  You may just surprise yourself!
