Behind the Photo: Red Rock

I absolutely love the awe-inspiring geography of Arizona and how different it is from my home in Chicago.  This photograph, taken in Sedona, AZ, represents the grandeur of an area characterized by its massive and gorgeous red rock formations.  I’ve traveled to Arizona a handful of times and I always love photographing the mountains simply because of their beauty.  A place that is sunny most days of the year, it’s surprising how much contrast there is between different photographs.  One of my favorite aspects of this particular photograph is the set of large, fluffy clouds that rarely dominate the blue expanse of the Arizona sky.
