Behind the Photos

I had the exciting opportunity to fly in a little prop plane this past summer and take aerial photos of the Charleston, SC harbor. At the time, I was interning with a commercial photographer whose assignment was to take shots of various points along the harbor for survey purposes. My assignment was to enjoy the beauty of one of my favorite places from a whole new perspective-- a real "bird's-eye view."

I always challenge myself to vary the angles and perspective in which I shoot, so this was the ultimate experience to try something new! Sitting in the back seat, it was difficult to shoot through a grimy window, especially on such a foggy morning, but the black and white versions turned out pretty neat!
